Glass bottles & jars
Review the chosen form, neck and decorative treatment alongside handling and protective packing.
Explore glass packagingPackaging quality control
A bottle may look right on its own and behave differently with a pump, formula or decorative finish. Quality planning starts with the complete pack and the way it will be filled, handled and delivered.
PauPack helps define the checks, sample references and records relevant to your packaging, so approval has a clear meaning for everyone involved.

Agree the scope before the order
Inspection scope should follow the product risks. We discuss the applicable methods and acceptance criteria before treating a sample or report as evidence of approval.

| Review area | What to examine | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensions & fit | Bottle dimensions, neck details and the selected cap, pump or dropper interface. | Drawing revision, component references and agreed tolerances. |
| Appearance & decoration | Color, surface finish, print position and project-relevant decoration durability. | Approved visual reference, artwork revision and acceptable variation. |
| Sealing & dispensing | The assembled pack under agreed conditions, including leakage or output checks where relevant. | Assembly method, test conditions, results and any exceptions. |
| Packing & transport | Separation, protection, carton arrangement and relevant handling or transit risks. | Approved pack-out and the agreed verification method. |
A component change can affect more than one area. Review the bottle and closure combination whenever its specification changes.
Quality through development and production
Checks belong at the stages where decisions are made. A final inspection cannot replace an unresolved component fit or an unapproved decorative finish.

Identify the formula category, filling route, handling and destination. Assign the checks and responsible teams before sample approval.

Compare the intended container, closure and finish. Record which details are approved and which still require verification.

Use the current specification and sample reference. Document findings and resolve exceptions through the agreed review process.

Review the agreed records, packing and identification. Keep the approved revisions available for delivery and repeat orders.
AI process illustrations; inspection methods, equipment and acceptance criteria depend on the project.
Samples and supporting records
A useful sample record identifies the bottle, closure, material, decoration and artwork. Add the date and revision, and state whether the sample represents appearance, fit, production finish or another defined purpose.
Formula compatibility, stability and filling validation require an agreed responsibility with your product and filling teams. An appearance approval does not answer those questions. Keep open items visible until the appropriate check has been completed.
For repeat orders, confirm whether anything has changed in the component, material, finish or packing. Use that change to decide what needs to be checked again.

Quality and sample questions
The review can cover dimensions, appearance, closure fit, sealing, dispensing, decoration and packing protection. Agree the relevant methods, conditions and records for the selected pack. The same inspection plan will not suit every material or use.
No. The closure, seal, dispenser and assembly method can introduce different issues. Check the actual component combination. Where formula or filling conditions matter, define those conditions with the responsible product and filling teams.
Use identified physical references with agreed viewing conditions and acceptable variation. Record artwork placement and revision as well as the color. A screen image alone cannot show the final material, gloss or finish reliably.
Request documents for the exact container, material, closure and intended market. We coordinate the available information for the proposed pack. Check the item reference, scope, issuing party and date; a report for a different item does not establish suitability.
Agree responsibilities with your filling partner and product team. Share the proposed component specifications and samples early, then record their filling and compatibility requirements. Keep that approval alongside the packaging appearance and component checks.
Identify the changed reference or revision and review its effect on fit, function, appearance and packing. Agree which samples or checks must be repeated before accepting the change. Do not assume the earlier approval covers a new combination.
