Quality & Leakage Review: Development Approach

Start a leakage investigation with the complete pack and the conditions in which the issue appeared. This development example shows how to record observations, compare controlled component changes and retain a useful approval reference.

Observation

Record where the liquid appears and whether it happens during filling, storage or transit.

Sample identity

Keep the original bottle, closure, formula and assembly references together.

Controlled comparison

Change a defined variable and compare it with the original combination.

Accepted condition

Document the corrected assembly and the checks used to evaluate it.

01 / Define the issue

Describe the observed issue before changing the pack

A report of leakage or poor fit needs context: the container and closure references, the contents, assembly method and conditions in which the issue appeared. PauPack can help organize that information for review with the relevant technical and production parties. Keep affected samples and the approved reference identifiable so the discussion starts with the actual difference.

Do not assume that replacing the most visible component resolves the cause. The interface, sealing parts, assembly settings, product and handling conditions may all need consideration. A focused review identifies which relationships should be checked before selecting a change.

02 / Evaluate the change

Compare a proposed change under a defined plan

If a different component or assembly adjustment is proposed, record exactly what changed. Review the combination under conditions agreed with the product and filling teams, keeping observations tied to the sample identity. This makes it possible to discuss whether the change addresses the reported concern and whether another part of the pack is affected.

PauPack can coordinate related appearance, decoration and packing decisions. A new closure may change the height or visual balance of the finished pack; a different packing arrangement may need its own approval. Keep these consequences visible during the review.

03 / Record the approved solution

Turn the accepted change into a usable reference

Once the responsible teams accept the revised arrangement, update the component list, relevant drawings, assembly instructions and packing reference. Identify the order or version to which the change applies. Retain the earlier records so the difference remains clear during a later inquiry or reorder. This approach creates a practical route from a reported issue to an agreed packaging reference. It does not replace the product-specific testing or technical judgment required for the selected formula and intended use.

What information helps start a leakage review?

Provide the container and closure references, contents, assembly conditions and a description of when the issue occurs. Keep affected samples and the approved reference identifiable. The responsible technical teams can then discuss the relevant checks and whether a proposed change needs further evaluation.

Is this a report of a completed customer order?

This guide explains how PauPack approaches the packaging challenge. It does not report a named customer order or claim a measured project outcome. Discuss your requirements with us to identify the relevant development route and available project-specific references.

What does the leakage-review approach help us organize?

It connects the observed issue, actual components, assembly conditions and proposed checks. Use the approach to prepare a focused discussion with the responsible technical teams. It is a project-planning example, not a published test result or evidence that one fix works for every leaking pack. Why Bottles And Pumps Leak →

How should we compare a proposed fix for a leaking bottle?

Identify the original leak location and test conditions, then compare the revised assembly under an agreed method. Record which component or setting changed. Recheck dispensing, closing and packing where the change can affect those functions, and keep the accepted construction identifiable.
