Gate 1: Freeze the Procurement Brief

Define capacity, material, neck, closure, color, decoration, quantity, packing, destination and required date. Mark open decisions rather than hiding them inside a request for quotation.

Schedule decorated samples early enough for photography, retailer review and carton approval without forcing production release before evidence is complete.

Gate 6: Coordinate Shared Components

A bottle may be ready while a pump, cap, collar, plug or carton is not. Build a component table with owner, supplier, minimum, sample status and required arrival date.

Ask the supplier to return a stage-by-stage plan showing buyer approvals, supplier activities, parallel work, excluded assumptions and the trigger for each stage.
